Freeskier Editor's Pick for 2011/12!
You love being out of bounds, charging big open slopes in deep snow. Sometimes this means you climb but you love that too. Your ski needs to be strong and solid on windblown hard sections and even groomers when you’re skiing runouts. You want the most versatile wide ski you can get. Most of all you want the ultimate tool for going fast on the steeps and in the deep.

You guys got it right with this big mountain ski. by A.B.Dubovik
I was at Powder Mountain yesterday shredding on the peacepipes. Such a great ski. You guys got it right with this big mountain ski. I would really like to get a pair of groundhogs and mount them up for some back country touring. But until then, I will just keep skiing the pipes. Thanx. (Posted on 2/27/12)
Love the Peacepipes! by tle56
We finally have powder so I could try the Peacepipes in the conditions they are made for and they are great! Flotation is excellent and worked fabulously on first lines and later when things were cut up. I have mounted them with Dynafit F12's for backcountry touring and love the light weight. They held well when I hit ice where the powder had slid off of the steep slopes. They made skiing breakable crust possible and almost enjoyable. I like being on a powder ski that lets me carve nice turns on the groomers. (Posted on 1/18/12)
Very impressed! Awesome skis! by ABOS
I bought a pair of 189 Peace Pipes last year and I love them! Obviously, they are great in the powder. The rocker tip keeps you on top of the snow and they are plenty wide for pow skiing. I live in the east and was a little worried how they would perform on groomers, moguls etc... I couldn't be happier. When they say this is a versatile ski, they aren't kidding. These things rip and the edges are razor sharp, which was a blast on the groomers. The forgiving tips were very nice in the bumps too.! They have a soft tip but the tails are stiff. Actually, everything but the tips are pretty stiff. They are also a nice looking ski. I turned a lot of heads with these skis last year and expect to do the same this year. I'd recommend these to anyone who loves to ski in all conditions. (Posted on 9/27/11)
