The frontside all-mountain ski
Mostly you ski where the snow is groomed or harder, so of course you need a ski to rip those runs to pieces. But you really love powder, trees, bumps—and your trip to where it’s fluffy and deep. Can one ski do all that with the special priority for front side high speeds? It can now. The Woodpecker feels like a wide race ski with a perfect fall line turn radius. And it has just enough early rise in the tip so it’s catch free and fun in the deepest and cruddiest snow. The tail is flat and strong, with lots of energy and rebound. The solid bamboo core and full Kevlar layer make it tough, rock resistant, energetic, and versatile.

awesome - bone doc
Have been skiing on Salomons for a number of years. Home base is Sunday River , ME. Have had the opportunity to ski the Woodpeckers on cord, packed pow (what those outside the East would call ice), crud, pow, trees, bumps. Truly "all mountain", perform well in all. Feel solid underfoot, carve smooth, plenty of snap. phenomenal edge hold, surprisingly quick edge to edge. Over all, the more I ski 'em, the more I love 'em.Posted on 3/3/15

Outrageous - Duff
I've been skiing a pair of Volkls (75 underfoot) and have really enjoyed them, but skiing these was like night and day. I've been on a handful of skis over the past two years and the Woodpecker was without a doubt the best, most impressive ski I've tried. What I thought was bordering on too fast for me before was just a comfortable, great ski for me on these. Great edge, instant response when making turns, very fast, and just felt in complete control at my peak speeds. Really can't say enough.Posted on 8/8/14
