Daniel Bell

Artist

Everybody dreams of finding "their thing.” Well Daniel Bell found his: Blowing Glass. This free spirited yeti of a man has been raising hell his whole life. He grew up with one leg in Minnesota and one in Mississippi. He is not the kind to "blend in" anywhere. But he is at home in the snow and he loves Park City. For 10 years, he has ridden over a hundred days a year pushing snow down a mountain with a board on his feet. He founded the Yeti Collective and his blown-glass work is known by Tramontane glass.

Those that have worked with Daniel know him as a team player—you want him in your crew; you want to call him a friend. His love for the fire in the furnace and the molten sand he slings into shape tells you all you need to know about Daniel Bell. Every piece of him wants to create something. As a result he has collaborated in many projects with many artists.

The Giant Yeti Project is a bold step into the Park City sculpture scene. The Yeti Project was introduced to the Yeti Collective in an effort by RAMP Sports to use its factory ski and snowboard scraps in a positive, community driven, and sustainable way. The 25-foot Giant Yeti lives outside the RAMP factory in Park City, Utah.

Daniel is almost finished with glass blowing school at the Appalachian Center for Craft. His specialty is a process that bonds copper to glass called electro-forming. His online portfolio is on the Yeti Collective.

"Art and the outdoors are my life; nature is my muse,” Daniel said. “My home is Planet Earth. I believe in the power of the collective. Love life is the only way to live. Throw your TV away and go outside and create!"

Rides Peacepipe

"The Peacepipe is great in the deep but still handles the crud. It's just great in any condition."
