Woodpecker Description

If you have to pick a favorite, it’s high-speed groomers, but you want to be able to do a lot more. If it snows you’re in the trees and looking for every bit of pow you can get. A day can’t go by without indulging in at least one bump run. Speed Range:  6-10

Features- A 90mm waist is the best shape for versatility leaning toward groomers, but the Woodpecker can also handle soft snow and pow with ease. The 65%-35% Camber provides a catch-free tip that can hook up and carve like a race ski. The Razor Cut sidecut gives this medium-wide ski incredible edge grip on the hardest snow.

As good as a race ski by Eric Olson
I could not be more pleased with the skis and the entire experience and have told everyone the same. I was a little worried going from numerous volkl race skis to a fatter board under foot, but these are so quick edge to edge. (Posted on 3/18/11)
Woodpecker review by steepandeep.com
Skied the RAMP Woodpecker’s today and really enjoyed them on the groomers, hardpack and light crud. A very quick turner, but these RAMP’s also did handle the speed coming down a steep face quite well. When I really pressured the tips of the Woodpecker’s, they responded and really set an edge and began to carve. The workmanship on the the skis is top and they appear to be solidly built. Didn’t get a chance to ski on them in the bumps, but with their previously mentioned characteristics, these skis seem like they would handle the bumps just fine.
